A Nigerian Upcoming music producer threatens to sue EFCC for referring to him as a fraudster

Nasiru Ali, popularly known as "Kozzographa", threatened to sue the Financial and Economic Crimes Commission (EFCC) for mistakenly calling him a fraudster
 (Yahoo boy).

The musician, through his lawyer, Mr. Pelumi Olajengbensi, said he would drag the EFCC to court for refusing to portray negative publications about him after
a seven-day ultimatum.

"He lost a five million naira contract with United Global Resolve for Peace (UNGREP), for which he had been interviewed and hitherto offered unequivocally because
the contractors were disturbed and worried about the dubious publication of his reputation.

"He has been ostracized by his colleagues and associates as well as by senior partners who generally refer to him for past jobs, thus losing his trust and reference.

He was bombarded with a flurry of phone calls from friends and family who called his reputation to question as they expressed their disappointment and indicated his
intention to immediately cut off all connection with him.

"His relationship with the intended life partner was irreparably hampered by the negative publicity generated by the illegal imprisonment, particularly the publication
on his media platform on the same subject.

"The publication has led close clients to take their jobs and take them to other people, resulting in a high level of loss and, in some cases, varying the level of
indebtedness," revealed Ali's lawyer in the petition to EFCC.

He also said that the men who invaded his house were dressed in black, with no means of identifying them as officers of the EFCC.

The petitioner had given EFCC seven days to fulfill its conditions or face legal action.
