A Nigeria lady reveals how her husband burnt her clothes and gave some to his girlfriend

One woman, Osaryekeme Odometa, accused her husband of burning his clothes while giving some of them to his girlfriend.

Osaryekeme said this at a hearing at the Igando Costume Court in Lagos on Thursday. She claimed that her husband, Jolomi, also threatened to kill her with a gun.

She told the court that she was fed up with the 11-year marriage and wanted to leave.

"There was a day when we went to church, he asked me why I was not wearing my wedding ring, I told him I removed it when I wanted to wash, but I forgot to use it back.

"He turned and led me to my parents' house. In their presence, he threatened to rent a gun, to kill me and my parents.

"Whenever we have misunderstandings, my husband will be saying he's going to kill me with a gun, I'm afraid he can carry out his threat someday.

However, in his own response, the interviewee, Jolomi, denied some of the allegations, but agreed that he often beat his wife.

"It's true that I always beat her with a belt every time she screwed up."

The 45-year-old businessman said his wife did not make the marriage work, adding that she always left her marital home whenever she had misunderstandings.

"She left the house on four occasions because of a minor disagreement."

The interviewee said he would not charge any bride price for his wife.

"I was not the one who paid the price of the bride, so I will not accept, she should go to my family who paid and return."

He made a fervent plea to the court not to dissolve the marriage he still loves his wife.

Adeniyi Koledoye, the court president, said that since the petitioner, Osaryekeme, insisted on divorce after several interventions, the court had no choice but to grant his wish and stated that the union had dissolved.

He granted custody of the child to Osaryekeme, while Jolomi must pay N5,000 monthly for the child's feeding.

"He should also be responsible for the child's education and general well-being," Koledoye said.

Sources: Wan-Bissaka might cost Man Utd £60m

Manchester United will have to double their record transfer to a defender in order to sign with Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka after their opening bid was
 rejected, sources told ESPN FC.

United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting right-back Wan-Bissaka as part of his summer reshuffle, but United had an initial £35 million offer plus £5
 million in rebate rebates.

Palace believes it is in a strong position after securing a contract with Wan-Bissaka until 2022, and the 21-year-old said he is happy to stay at Selhurst
 Park next season.

The Eagles have not ruled out leaving England for less than 21 years but are planning to hold a £ 50m guarantee with a series of additions that could push the
 deal beyond £ 60m.

That would almost double the £ 31m that United paid to Benfica for Victor Lindelof in 2017 and would make Wan-Bissaka - which had only one full season in the
Premier League - the third most expensive player in its history.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier is among the options if he can not agree on the Wan-Bissaka, but Arsenal are also interested in the Belgian
 international.

Solskjaer is continuing his reconstruction team after agreeing to a £ 15m contract with Swansea for Daniel James. The Wales player must be officially announced
as a United player as soon as the international transfer window opens on Tuesday.

The coach is still hopeful of completing most of his summer business before the start of preseason training on July 1. Players and crew fly to Perth for the start
of the preseason tour on July 7.

Meanwhile, United continues talking to Juan Mata about the length of his stay at Old Trafford.

It was confirmed on Friday that Mata, who will become a free agent on June 30, has a contract offer at the table, but sources told ESPN that negotiations are under
 way.

United, who have launched Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia, are hoping the 31-year-old midfielder will stay but have other offers from the Premier League, Italy
 and Spain.
