Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt has received a five-year contract worth £340,000 a week from Paris Saint-Germain and is now considering his options before deciding
where to play his club next season.
The Ligue 1 club made an offer of 70 million euros (more than 62 million euros), as well as add-ons for Ajax at age 19. The Dutch club is willing to sell the
defender for that price but is waiting to know which club the player would like to join.
De Ligt had a great season, as Ajax reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and won the Dutch league and cup. He was also part of the Dutch team that
reached the final of the League of Nations, scoring with a resounding header in the semifinal against England.
He is one of the most sought-after players in Europe this summer and received an offer from PSG to sign a five-year contract. His agent, Mino Raiola, spoke with
PSG sports director Leonardo and De Ligt is waiting to see if other clubs - such as Barcelona, Manchester United or Liverpool - are interested in matching the deal
on the Ligue table. 1 side
