Liverpool fans in Nsukka Enugu State celebrate UEFA Champions League title in church

Liverpool fans in Nsukka, Enugu, won the headlines over the weekend after they went to the Thanksgiving service after the clubehistoric Champions League game against Tottenham Hotspurs in Madrid on June 1. 

Jurgen Klopp's side eliminated their disappointment of last season's Champions League defeat by Real Madrid by winning the trophy for the sixth time  with a victory over Tottenham.

A Facebook user, Odinaka Onwudor, who shared photos of the Thanksgiving service on his social media page, said the tour happened on Sunday.

Onuwudor wrote: "Yesterday, Liverpool fans, the Nsukka branch (state of Enugu, Nigeria) were thanking the Church, thanking God for the triumph in the Champions League. Many compliments to you!

"We want to achieve more success next season."
