Maurizio Sarri and his team remain in limbo as they wait for their Chelsea exit to be stamped with rubber.
Sarri returned to Italy last week, ahead of his expected appointment as Juventus boss.
Once he returned to his home in Tuscany, Sarri gave an interview to an Italian magazine explaining how much he lost to Italy while he was in charge of Chelsea.
However, the clearest indication that he has no intention of returning to England is the fact that he cleaned the house of Surrey he was staying in and transferred
all his properties to Italy.
The members of his technical team had also given the news before leaving their rented properties before Sarri left their home.
Sarri hoped that her release from Chelsea would be approved and sanctioned by director Marina Granovskaia last weekend, a belief underscored by the steps he and his
behind-the-scenes team took.
But they keep waiting for the green light to join the Italian champions. Sources in Italy are convinced that Chelsea have agreed to let Sarri go.
However, as Sarri's compensation of £ 5 million will be paid contributed to the robbery, with Juventus willing to avoid it, while Chelsea insisted he wants to be
covered.
The Premier League club turned to midfielder Frank Lampard when they started chasing the next coach.
The Derby boss, who enjoyed a 13-year trophy filled with trophies at Stamford Bridge, held initial discussions about replacing Sarri this summer.
Lampard's lack of experience - he has only one year of administration - remains a concern, although he was impressed to lead Rams to the final of the championship
play-off last month.
Massimiliano Allegri and Ejau Hag, also coach of Ajax, were also considered for the role.
