Nigerian singer Wizkid is featured around the world as the star of Afrobeat in Africa, but some personalities in the air in the United States have criticized the allegations.
According to the R.O.A.D. Podcast crew, who was discussing Wizkid and Drake at their show, the musician is overrated in Africa, but he is not popular in America.
DJs Neva, Dmiles, Jaime Da Great and DJ Crooked of OAP have argued that some people are struggling to make Wizkid the "Sean Paul" of Afrobeats, but he has not yet come to that position.
One of them argued that Wizkid is not a mainstream artist in the US, despite his multiple collaborations with Drake, but he is known only by name because of his affiliations with the American rapper.
While some colleagues disagreed with his position, he believed that, in addition to the heads of music, no one on the streets of America knows Wizkid.
