Real Madrid are set to put on a disappointing season in 2018/19 and the preseason will be important for the
 club and in particular for the new hires.

This is the vision of Zinedine Zidane, who is pleased that Los Blancos have completed much of their business
 in the beginning.

"We're going to have all kinds of players, from the new signings to the players already in the team, to the
young players who can support and add a lot to a team in the preseason," the Frenchman said in an interview.
with Charlie Stillitano, the executive chairman of the International Champions Cup.

"[To have our hires available for the entire preseason] is our plan and what we want.

"That's why we already buy players, so they are ready and ready.

"As you know, the preseason for a player is very important.

"The important thing is that they are with us from day one.

"They will have played games with their national teams, but they will have about a month of vacation and they will be with us."

For Zidane, this is an exciting time of year.

"It's a new season and an important season," he said.

"We're back with the thrill of being able to win again."

During the World Cup, Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich (21 July), Arsenal (24 July) and Atletico Madrid (27 July).

Zidane discussed the game against Atleti and his respect for Diego Simeone.

"It's a really good game for all fans, especially in New York," said Zidane.

"For the clubs, it's important because we want to give fans a good image of Madrid.

"Let's try to have a great game and show how good the two teams are.

"I have a lot of respect for Simeone, as well as for all managers.

"He has been training for a long time and works very well with his coaching staff.

"He has a good team and is part of a great club.

"He does a great job and I respect him a lot."
