Florentino Perez is doing everything to appease Zinedine Zidane, both with signings and outings of players that the French no longer have, and the latest agreement that the president of Real Madrid wants to close is that of Paul Pogba.
Los Blancos has already completed the signings of two players that Zidane was desperate for - Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy - and the final piece of the coach's puzzle is now Manchester United midfielder.
Real Madrid have entered the first phase of the talks but, as reported by the BRAND, the English club has no intention of selling his star. Unitedhave has stated that Pogba is not for sale and that there is no money for which it can be hired. That's the message that comes from Old Trafford, anyway.
Pogba, on the other hand, also fulfilled the first hurdle when trying to leave United. Not only did he send his agent, Mino Raiola, to inform the club of his desire to leave but he then backed it up with public statements claiming he wants a new challenge.
It is now up to the player to reiterate to Joel Glazer and Ed Woodward, who are in charge of United, that there is no alternative but to negotiate his exit and put a price on his head.
Pogba does not want to start a war with the English giants and therefore is not willing to force him out, although he wants to get to a point where they accept that he wants to leave.
In the first week of July, the 26-year-old will return to the preseason with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team and, ideally, he would like his future resolved to that point. He knows it's not easy, but will fight to work alongside Zidane.
The Real Madrid coach put Pogba above any other option. Inside the club they want to leave Zidane happy, however, they understand that hiring the world champion will be something simple and, according to some, very expensive, since it would become the transfer of Los Blancos records. For now, Santiago Bernabeu is waiting.
Meanwhile, club officers are considering other alternatives. Christian Eriksen of Tottenham Hotspur remains an option, which may be available in a cheaper deal with his contract expiring in a year, while Donny van de Beek of Ajax is considered a more offensive midfield and another substitute for Luka Modric. . In the last days, the name of Tanguy Ndombele, of Lyon, received the support of the people of Los Blancos, mainly for declaring his desire to leave Les Gones.
