Sky: James Rodríguez will be in Napoli 'in hours'

Napoli will seal a potential €40 million deal for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez in a matter of hours.

According to Sky Sport Italy, Azzurra will sign with the Colombian an initial loan of €5 million and commit to a €35 million option to buy next summer.

The broadcaster says that despite what has been mentioned in the Spanish press about whites wanting more money or just wanting a permanent transfer, the deal with Partenopei is almost ready.

Sports director Cristiano Giuntoli and player agent Jorge Mendes have been working hard to find a deal, and the 27-year-old can reach Italy after the Copa America.

Meanwhile, Carlo Alvino, Sky's Napoli expert, has downplayed the talks about James being imminent, but he is sure he will arrive before the window closes this summer.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis reiterated on Friday that Carlo Ancelotti wanted to meet Rodriguez after his training together in Madrid and Bayern Munich.
