Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored three goals in Portugal's 3-1 victory over Switzerland in the semifinals, won the Alipay Top Scorer Trophy in the UEFA Cup final
on Sunday.
Ronaldo receives the trophy from Eric Jing, CEO of Ant Financial Services Group, Alipay operator, at Estádio do Dragão in Porto, after Portugal's final victory
over the Netherlands.
Ronaldo's team-mate Gonçalo Guedes, who scored the winning goal in the final, won the silver trophy while English striker Marcus Rashford took the bronze.
"Congratulations to Cristiano for adding the Alipay Top Scorer Trophy to his collection," said Jing. "We are inspired by the passion for football and the digital
experiences we have seen last week in Portugal. We hope to promote greater integration between football and technology in our partnership with UEFA, bringing more
fun, energy and inclusion into the game."
In November 2018, Alipay became UEFA's sponsor of the men's national team events, including UEFA EURO 2020, UEFA EURO 2024, European qualifiers and UEFA Cup finals.
